performing arts theatre in Luxembourg in English

From Paris to Luxembourg Peter Corser is coming to play his Clarinet, Keyboard and computer all improvised to add theme music or to set the tone for the various stories to be seen in tonight's version of The Virginia Monologues at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg at 20h00. I am heading out soon to pick him and his various instruments up from the train station. 

In the wake of a difficult morning for millions of people, and not to get too political, one wonders about the change in the Artistic Landscape for the upcoming years.  My friend Peter, a Brit, thoroughly relies on creative collaborations for both artistic as well as financial integrity.  Over the last 2 years in Luxembourg I have scene an explosion of co-creations in the performing arts with the United Kingdom. Not many in the UK have any Idea that the Juliette Binoche, Antigone at the Barbican had it's premiere and was co-produced with the Théâtre de La Ville Luxembourg with of course the Dutch director, Ivo van Hove.  There will be an interesting transition in the arts that is highly overlooked and I feel the fallout will be enormous.  It shall be interesting to see how it works for new work-permit schemes that will need to be developed for international collaborations between great artists who just want to produce great influential work.

For now though, we at The Story In Motion Project will be grateful that an International collaboraiton of performers, Nathlalie Jacoby, from Luxembourg, Rhona Richards from Jersey, and Peter Corser from England will grace the stage for the opening of The Virginia Monolgues at The Théâtre National du Luxembourg.

dWell, after several weeks of rehearsing,  Nathalie Jacoby and Rhona Richards will embark on an evening of various Monologues, Scenes and stories all Improvised on the night June 24th and 25th 20h00.  This will be Rhona's first improvised performance. A natural at creating characters and producing story from a knowledge base rooted in a background of English literature, Rhona makes a perfect paring with Ms. Jacoby who returns to the improvisational theatre after a 3 year absence.  

Guest Musician Peter Corser travels from Paris to supply an evening of improvised music to set the tone and support the various stories on the evening. Clarinet, keyboard, guitar and computers will all be at Peter's disposal for the evening.

The Foyer Space at the Théâtre National du Luxmembourg will be the most ideal venue for this particular show which will also include improvised lighting. We look forward to entertaining the unsuspecting Luxembourg public 2 nights only.
